  • WORKSHOP 1 - 5/06/2024: Bodypercussion

    • Making music with the instrument we always have with us: our bodies! We start at the very beginning: clapping our hands, stomping our feet, snapping our fingers, and tapping on various parts of our bodies.

      A workshop for learning to explore rhythm, while listening to each other, collaborating and sensing each's other energy. The body percussion workshop will conclude with the entire group presenting a powerful music and dance composition! And, naturally, this musical workshop will also offer an opportunity for a vigorous workout.

  • WORKSHOP 2 - 12/06/2024: eco-friendly percussion
    • An eco-friendly percussion workshop for creating music with everyday objects and recycled materials. We use a wide variety of items including buckets, bottles, barrels, cans, pots, pans, pipes, and other miscellaneous objects. A beautiful array of musical instruments lies within the most unexpected everyday objects. Join us in exploring new sounds and creating a symphony orchestra!
  • WORKSHOP 3 - 19/06/2024: Djembe
    • A workshop dedicated to harnessing musical energy awaits! An experienced instructor will introduce the djembe, a West African drum renowned for its distinctive sound and character. Participants will learn to play various African rhythms, swiftly experiencing the potency of collective performance. Brace yourself for an abundance of energy and vibrations that will enthral you indefinitely!

Practical information:

  • The 2-hour workshops start at 2 p.m. sharp.
  • Children attending GBS de Klimboom can be picked up from, and returned to the after-school care facility. Please email eef.segers@derand.be for more information.
  • Registration is for the full course covering 3 consecutive Wednesday afternoons.
